Message From the School Head
Our Programmes
WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF STRATEGIC AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES
This programme has been developed by Pioneer International University pursuant to curricular development and course diversification requirements of the CUE. The curriculum has been designed to offer students a heterogeneous approach in planning careers in international business, government service, Foreign Service, inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations. This program is enhanced with opportunities for co-curricular school trips, extra-curricular activities and internships both locally and internationally.
Bachelor of Art in International Relations (BAIR) is intended to be a premier program that will address not only the classical epistemological foundations of IR as a discipline within the realms of Political Science but will fundamentally look at the contemporary and emerging sub-fields in IR and themes that are relevant to the study of International Relations. Specifically, it will expose students to the contesting debates in International relations and the practical application in the various subfields of International Relations.

Our Programmes
Undergraduate
Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy
This degree allows specialization in three areas as flows;
- International Development
- Peace and Security Studies
- Foreign Policy and Diplomacy
Requirements
- Must have an aggregate grade of C+ (C PLUS) in K.C.S.E. (or equivalent examination) and a minimum grade of C in English. Further to these, a C in either Geography, Business Studies or any language.
- Must have TWO Principal (2P) passes in ‘A’ level/Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) in English and Mathematics and one subsidiary in either Geography, Business Studies or Economics.
- K.C.S.E (mean C) plus Diploma from a recognized institution.
Diploma

- Social Work and Community Development
